Seafood: Clams

My family and I have lived along the coast for about five years and I have never bothered with seafood. Despite my grudge on ocean fare, my father has still been trying to embrace our taste for the branch of food. Just recently, my father made a soup that had clams in it. No matter how much I told him I didn't want him to put them in, he still did. I thought he had ruined the whole dish and I sat in sorrow at the dining room table. I picked up the spoon and dipped it into the liquid for such a short time that I only got a measly drop to taste. I raised it to my mouth until it came level with my lips and then took a sip. I couldn't believe that such a good taste was hidden in plain sight! Seafood is honestly one of the most underrated groups of food, and I feel like anyone could like it if they were a little adventurous and had the right spices. I just wanted to share my experience with seafood to a few people, and thank you for reading!
